Hi! My name is Yousif Al Khaboori, I'm an Electrical & Computer Engineering student at The Ohio State University.
I'm specializing in Computer Engineering within the ECE major. I plan on posting my projects here, so I would love for you to follow along and see what I'm going to do over the next few months!
I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical and Computer Engineering. After that, Iβm either heading to graduate school to dive into research or jumping straight into the private sector. If I go that route, my dream is to work in the automotive industry, combining engineering with my love for cars and motorcycles.
Most of my experience so far is on the software side, but Iβm now shifting toward hardware and embedded systems. I'm starting with microcontrollers (like Arduinos), and I plan to explore robotics, automation, and eventually circuit and PCB design.
My end goal is to be skilled enough to be able to build a complete system all by my own.
I'm motivated by the challenge that comes with being an electrical engineer. I know it's a tough major, but thatβs what makes it interesting to me. I like figuring out how things work, solving problems, and actually building stuff.
When I'm not studying (or pulling my hair out), I like spending time with family and friends, playing video games, and just goofing around in general. I also have a sun conure who hangs out with me sometimes.
My last name comes from a river located in Syria named the Khabur river, so I thought it would be a fun idea to name my website after it. I also thought it would be a good way to brand myself, since not a lot of people share the same last name as me.
I didn't do "Khaboor.dev" because it looked weird. I, however, should've done "Khabour.dev", but I already paid money for the domain before the rusty gears in my brain started turning.
